German band Dschinghis Khan on a centrespread poster in Bravo of 10 May 1979. The group was put together to compete with their eponymous song at the Eurovision Song Contest in Jerusalem. Just the place for Germans to sing about mass-murdering invader.

This idiotic song even extolled rape. “And each woman, that he liked/He took into his tent/They said, a woman who did not love him/Did not exist anywhere in the world/He fathered seven children in one night.” How was this not Donald Trump’s campaign song last year?
