Argentinian actor Carlos Thompson and French actress Daniele Gaubert on the back-cover of Bravo of 6 October 1962. They starred in the film Der Zigeunerbaron (The Gypsy Baron), an operetta by Johann Strauss Jr.
Thompson, son of Swiss-German immigrants to Argentina, had a glittering career in German cinema from the mid-1950s to mid-60s. After that he became an author and historian, countering the claim by Holocaust-denying duo David Irving (libel-case losing asshole) und Rolf Hochhuth (libel-pushing asshole) that Winston Churchill had exiled Polish leader General Sikorski killed. Thompson died in 1990 at the age of 67.
Gaubert retired from acting in 1972 after marrying French Alpine ski star Jean-Claude Killy. She died of cancer in 1987, aged ony 44.
