Bravo had power, getting stars to give them personal possessions to give away to fans. Some of the gifts in the annual Bravo bazaar were valuable then, some would be now. So you’d specify which gift you’re writing in for, and if your name was drawn you would receive stuff like:
Sweet singer Billy Connolly’s silver stage outfit, the scarf that Stuart ‘Woody’ Wood wore to cover his private parts (not washed, presumably), a football signed by Rod Stewart, a jacket worn (briefly) by F1 driver Jackie Stewart, or a scarf and (named!) belt from the Bellamy Brothers.
And that was a really bad year for the Bravo Bazaar.
